Scope of the audit

The audit of intellectual property aims at reviewing the intellectual assets held, purchased and used by the company in order to determine their legal status, potential risk connected with their use and resources held to protect them and use them effectively.

As part of the audit, for example:

  • We identify the intellectual property assets: patents, utility and industrial designs, trademarks, domain name application, copyrights, know-how, confidential information, public disclosure, application dates (for registered rights), their geographical scope, maintenance fees;
  • We identify the areas of using individual assets of intellectual property: types, areas and method of use and assets not used;
  • We verify the cases of violating the intellectual property rights;
  • We investigate the intellectual property contracts;
  • We assess the existing/help to implement the strategy of the company’s intellectual property.
